Bicycle Queen Song

Bicycle queen song is a song written by lead singer and composer of the British rock band Queen. It was released in 1978 on their seventh album Jazz and a double A-side with Fat Bottomed Girls. It is one of the most famous songs by Queen and features a bicycle race with nude women. In the video, 65 nude professional models were hired to ride bicycles around Wimbledon Stadium in England. The apocryphal story is that when the rental company discovered the bikes were being used for this purpose they demanded that the band pay to replace all of the bicycle seats.

The song is a metaphor for an acid trip and the desire to escape from one’s own life and the responsibilities that come with it. It is also an ode to uninhibited personal freedom. The lyrics contain social, political and pop culture references including religion, Watergate, drugs, fictional characters (Peter Pan, Frankenstein and Superman) and movies such as Jaws and Star Wars.

The song demonstrates the eclectic nature of the musical style that Queen was known for at the time. It contains acoustic and electric guitars, piano, keyboards, bass and drums, all of which are played by the band members except Freddie Mercury who died of AIDS in 1991. The song features several unconventional tempo changes and chord progressions, a mashup of styles and rhythms. The song includes a section where the band uses bicycle bells to create a unique sound effect.
